The Taiwanese subsidiary of tech giant Microsoft has partnered with tech investment company China Binary Sale Technology and High Cloud to create a platform for enterprise blockchain development, according to a press release from Microsoft June 28. Microsoft will provide its Azure cloud platform as a base for China Binary’s blockchain service. Chief Economic Advisor at financial services company Allianz, Mohamed El-Erian, told CNBC today, June 29, that he thinks Bitcoin (BTC) will eventually be treated as a store of value – and that he would consider buying if the price hits $5,000.  While El-Erian reports currently not owning any Bitcoin, the influential economist said he would consider buying at the $5,000 price point, explaining that his reasoning as being based on a “gut feeling.” Read whole article...

BTC now trading around 5900. We are in this falling wedge with a range of 6100 - 5400. There is still no buying power / volume to break this falling wedge. There is a great chance that BTC will drop to 5400. A lot of people are betting on a rebound/reversal from this 5400 mark, we do too but always prepare for the worst. We mean 5000 as "worst". Chinese cryptocurrency exchange Huobi confirmed the opening of its London office June 28, with over-the-counter (OTC) trading tests set to begin in Q3 this year. In a press release shared with Cointelegraph, Huobi, which claims to have a global user base of “more that five million,” continued its recent narrative that expansion into Europe was a priority, with London a deliberate choice for basing its new operations. Financial services giant Mastercard was awarded several new blockchain patents this week, continuing its trend of embracing distributing ledger research even as it expresses open hostility to bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies. However, one particular patent is raising eyebrows.  The patent, awarded by the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) on Thursday, outlines a system that facilitates anonymous transactions over a blockchain network. The Tokyo District Court has ordered Mt Gox to begin compensating victims of its infamous 2014 hack, effectively stalling the exchange’s pending bankruptcy. Valerie Szczepanik has been appointed as the new head of the SEC’s cryptocurrency task force. The news is not altogether surprising given that she has been heavily involved in the ICO industry, last year advising them to put investors first if they wanted the industry to flourish. She has prior knowledge of securities law and is already leading the SEC’s distributed ledger technology group, which she is now leaving for her new role. Cryptocurrency exchange Binance has resumed trading a day after suspending activities due to system upgrade, followed by a warning from their risk management system, a statement confirms June 27. Trading at Binance, which usually ranks within the top three exchanges in the world by daily trading volume, ground to a halt Tuesday following a planned system upgrade.  Developers had forecast trades and withdrawals stopping for a four-hour period, but when automated system signalled an undisclosed vulnerability, the services remained unavailable longer. BTC now trading around 6120. When we look at the long vs short positions, we think that BTC will drop. Long 57 % and short 43%. If whales see that there are a lot more long positions open then short positions they can manipulate the market and destroy al lot of long positions by driving the market downwards. If we look at the trend we see a rising wedge, this also indicates a drop in price after this wedge. The support around 6000 is big and is likely to hold. Research company Ipsos on behalf of ING Bank B.V. has conducted a study on how cryptocurrencies are perceived across Europe, Australia and the U.S., which reveals that interest in the technology is expected to double in the future. While only 9 percent of respondents own crypto, 25 percent said they will own some in the future. The Financial Director of Zug, Switzerland, Heinz Tännler called on the Swiss Bankers Association (SBA) to create a working group to help blockchain companies open bank accounts, local news outlet cash.ch reported June 26. Since blockchain and crypto companies face difficulties with opening bank accounts in the country, Tännler together with the Financial Director of Zurich Ernst Stocker brought the issue to the attention of Federal Council Ueli Maurer. BTC now trading around 6200. It is time to take a look at the bigger picture... If you look at the image below you can see that from the ATH we can draw a line to where we are now (almost).  The red line (@5850) acts as a support. Breaking this support would be strange and would take a lot of money to break it. We have seen that bears have tried to break it but we bounced back. The orange lines indicate we are in a descending wedge. This also indicates that at the end of the wedge we will see a breakout. We think this breakout will happen in beginning of July and is going to start the bull season. We can't give you a exact date yet but we will keep you guys posted. The State Service for Special Communication and Information Protection of Ukraine has said that it is not planning to regulate cryptocurrency mining, news portal cryptorussia.ru reported June 25. If you thought crypto in India was over, you were probably wrong. According to a recent statement by a high-ranking official, the long-awaited regulations are on the way. A draft framework has been prepared, and authorities in Delhi hope to “wrap this up” as early as the first half of next month. Stablecoin Tether (USDT), which is allegedly backed 1:1 by the US dollar, has issued 250 million more tokens today, June 25, according to data from Omni Explorer. BTC is now trading around 6150. It has been around this price for a couple of hours now. It is in a sort of ascending triangle. This could mean a continuation (up). Still we don't trust the current situation at all. We still think it is a bull trap and that we will see big sell coming to destroy a lot of long position. (long positions 55%, short positions 45%). For now the situation is uncertain, make sure you have a stop loss in case price should drop. Support is at 6000, resistance is at 6300. The second round of China’s state-backed monthly ratings of cryptocurrencies and blockchain projects has been released, Cena News reported June 21. Dubbed the “Global Public Chain Technology Evaluation Index,” this latest round was announced at the Shanghai Science Hall on June 20, and ranks EOS 1st, Ethereum (ETH) 2nd, and Bitcoin (BTC) 17th, out of a total of 30 analyzed cryptocurrencies. Prominent investors including Ari Paul, the co-founder of BlockTower, a cryptocurrency hedge fund founded by former Goldman Sachs executive, have said that the next mid-term rally will likely be triggered by institutional investors potentially before the end of 2018. Paul said that the last barrier preventing institutional investors from entering the cryptocurrency market is the lack of trusted custodianship and a suite of institutional cryptocurrency products. You may be asking yourself this question. When does the big money role in to the crypto market and make it huge again like the end of 2017. Well this could be sooner than you think. In July the G20 summit will review the the crypto regulation draft and when approved we could see big investors rolling in. They need clarity about the rules and regulations before they lay their big money on the table. Some say that trillions are waiting to flow in to the market. Maybe this is a little bit over the top but if it is a 100 couple of billions, that's fine too! Also in July the Indian government is going to launch a crypto regulation framework. They already have a draft and will be finalized in July. The same rule applies here, if they don't ban crypto and have a nice set of rules and regulations, new money will flow into the crypto world.

BTC now trading around 6250. Well that has been interesting, we are gone for one day and all kinds of crazy happens. Yesterday bitcoin fell from 6250 to 5850. And now a big green candle up! Be very careful this could be a bull trap. This is not yet a reversal!!. When bitcoin hits the 7000 mark and stays above it then we are sure that the reversal is made. BTC now trading around 6150. In the weekends there is less trading going on and volume is low. We see that bitcoin is around that 6150 the whole day now. Yesterday bitcoin and the market fell hard. As we told you guys yesterday, bitcoin held its support around 6000. This is still a good support but keep a stop loss in case it will fall because it is very hard to tell what bitcoin will do next after this sideways trend. As bitcoin fell so did the whole market. Some more then others but on average 12%. Are there any reasons for this very red day? It has to do with the Bithumb hack. While the full details of the hack are still being clarified, Bithumb has said there will be “no damage” to its customers, yesterday confirming it will reimburse affected users. The exchange says it is working closely with the Korea Internet & Security Agency (KISA), the Korean Ministry of Science and Technology (MIC), the national police and others to investigate the theft, and says it will undertake “systematic measures” to prevent a repeat of the incident. The total marketcap dropped 26 billion today. Some people out there are panicking and saying (again) "crypto/bitcoin is dead!" Don't believe them, because as we see it bitcoin held its main support. Defunct Bitcoin exchange Mt. Gox has formally entered civil rehabilitation proceedings, officials announced June 22. A statement and accompanying documentation confirm the move, which will see attorney Nobuaki Kobayashi act as civil rehabilitation trustee. Kobayashi was responsible for selling vast tranches of Bitcoin reserves beginning Q4 last year to reimburse Mt. Gox users who lost money in the exchange’s mass hack in late 2013. BTC now trading around 6150. A big fall from 6650 to 6150... 500 dollar, that is huge! Now we see that bitcoin is at a great support. This support is a big one (see 2nd image). It is a very steep line from 6150 to 6000. It will take a lot of effort and money to break this support. For now we think it can go to 6000 but not below this price. BTC now trading around 6520. As we told you guys in the bitcoin update from yesterday, bitcoin would drop in price. It tried to break the 6700-6800 resistance 3 times and didn't succeed. There is a support around 6450. This is not a big one though. Now we have to wait and see what formation will form next. BTC now trading around 6700. Again and again we have tried to break this 6750 to 6800 resistance. Bitcoin is in this ascending wedge and bouncing of this resistance. hat appeared to be signs of a rebound over the past day have been quashed this morning when news broke that Korea’s second largest exchange Bithumb had been hacked. Markets tumbled once again, with almost $10 billion being wiped out in half an hour. The fall as usual was led by Bitcoin which dropped $150 and settled at just over $6,600, down 1.6% on the day. Ethereum remained relatively stable and is trading at the same level as yesterday, $520. Altcoins as usual all got battered and a sea of red has now replaced the green that was there a few hours ago. With profits soaring for some of the world’s biggest GPU manufacturers, it’s clear to see that crypto mining has had a powerful, and perhaps even a lasting effect on the video card production industry.
